Who is backing Scott Crouch for House of Delegates? You may be Surprised to learn it’s not Republicans!

This is a warning about a PAC (Political Action Committee) that is spreading false statements and misinformation about Delegate Guy Ward. The name of this PAC is MAKE LIBERTY WIN. They want you to believe that they’re a Republican organization but they’re not! They’re Libertarians. They’ve done the same thing in other states such as Wyoming.

Recently, Make Liberty Win lied about Delegate Ward by claiming he voted for an amendment to a bill to keep children on puberty blockers and claiming he voted against transparency in politics by exempting himself and his colleagues from FOIA requests. These lies were part of a poll tied to a text message supporting Scott Crouch. The votes that they were referring to were Roll Call 752 on HB2007 passed in 2023 and Roll Call 359 on HB3412 passed in 2025. Delegate Ward wasn’t in the House at those times. However, his predecessor, Delegate Mike DeVault was and he voted for these things that they’re claiming Delegate Ward voted for.

What are some of the differences between Republicans and Libertarians?.
• Social Issues: Libertarians are socially progressive or “live and let live,” supporting abortion rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and drug legalization. Republicans tend to be socially conservative, often advocating for policies based on traditional moral values.
• Government Size: While both desire smaller government than Democrats, Libertarians seek to drastically cut or eliminate most government agencies, whereas Republicans often focus on reducing bureaucracy while supporting a strong military and police presence.
• Foreign Policy: Libertarians strongly advocate for non-interventionism and a non-interventionist military policy, which would weaken our military. Republicans generally support a robust military to assert national power and defend American interests.

The Libertarians say they believe in our Constitution, yet they oppose the very principles that the Founders believed in. This is in the Libertarian Platform:
1.4 – They believe in same sex marriage
1.6 – They believe in legalizing recreational drugs
2.1 – They believe in legalizing prostitution
2.13 – They believe in euthanasia, which pro-lifers oppose

There are already about six Libertarians in the House of Delegates masquerading as Republicans. They’ve been creating havoc in committees and especially on the floor near the end of session and causing the loss of a lot of good bills that would help West Virginians by bringing more jobs to our state. Believe it or not they’re against these things.

Chris Anders, who seems to be the ring leader in the Libertarian movement voted against the following economic bills that will bring more jobs to West Virginians: SB1 (Small Business Growth Act); HB4001 (TEAM-WV); HB4004 (Recharge West Virginia Act); HB4008 (Business Ready Sites Program).

In 1980, David Koch was the Libertarian vice presidential candidate. He backed the full legalization of abortion and the repeal of laws that criminalized drug use, and prostitution. He attacked campaign donation limits and assailed the Republican star Ronald Reagan as a hypocrite who represented “no change whatsoever from Jimmy Carter and the Democrats.”

Republicans, who do you want? A true Republican or someone who is being backed by the Libertarians?
